it gets better then NPR...

There was a time a few years ago when I used to listen closely to NPR like most of you do. Not anymore though. Besides accepting money from the pro-nuclear power folks, they'll take money from most any corporate sponsor, be it Boeing or Microsoft. The board members of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting which also funds and dictates content, are selected by the President and confirmed by Congress. Notice any content change in the past 7 years? If you are looking for a better, truly independent daily media source, free from scrutiny of the advertising executives, then check out DemocracyNow.org. You won't have to sit in frustration about the wars while commercials for weapons manufacturers play between segments. Please, check these out for yourself:

I'm not saying NPR is worthless or anything - it does have some intelligent, entertaining programs. There's just some better, real grassroots community media outlets who's journalists are not under anyones thumb. I'm really not trying to stir you up, just wake you up to a little more of what's out there that you might not have known about. Peace yal!
